Job summary

Pathway Search is seeking a Chief Technology Officer for a rapidly expanding global organisation with operations across APAC. Based in Singapore, you will define the technology strategy and operating model, leading a federated environment through ERP, CRM, data, AI and cloud modernization.

You will build capability, govern investment and risk, and lead a high-performing technology team across multiple countries, aligning technology with board-level objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Chief Technology Officer — Global Organisation

Location: Singapore

Our client is a rapidly scaling global organisation with significant operations across Singapore, Australia and wider APAC, including Japan, Korea and Hong Kong.

Following a period of rapid growth and acquisition, the organisation is consolidating into a more integrated, modern operating platform. Technology will be fundamental to the next stage of that journey.

Strong foundations are already in place across cybersecurity, enterprise collaboration and early AI adoption. The opportunity now is to move technology beyond a predominantly operational function and establish the strategy, capability, governance and leadership required for the next phase of growth.

This is very much a build-and-lead mandate rather than a caretaker CTO role. It could suit an accomplished technology executive ready to step into their first CTO position, or an existing CTO/CIO attracted by the opportunity to build capability and create visible impact.

Mandate

• Technology strategy & leadership — define the enterprise technology strategy and operating model, representing technology at executive and board level.
• Transformation & modernisation — lead the evolution of ERP, CRM, data, AI and cloud capabilities across a historically federated environment.
• Operating model & governance — establish stronger demand management, prioritisation, architecture, investment and technology risk disciplines.
• Data & AI — define the enterprise data and AI roadmap, strengthen the underlying data platform and move early AI adoption into scalable business capability.
• Cybersecurity & risk — build on a strong existing security posture across multiple jurisdictions, including emerging AI governance requirements.
• People & change leadership — lead and develop an established technology team while taking business stakeholders and regional leadership on the transformation journey.
• Executive stakeholder management — influence senior leaders across multiple countries and manage strategic vendor, shareholder and board relationships.

What You’ll Inherit An established technology environment spanning Microsoft 365, core finance/ERP, HR platforms and an emerging enterprise data and reporting capability, together with an Enterprise Architecture capability being established to support the transformation.

The environment is stable — this isn’t a turnaround of a broken technology function. The challenge is to build maturity, capability and strategic direction from a relatively low base while continuing to support a rapidly growing business.

What We’re Looking For

• Senior technology leadership experience within a complex, multi-country organisation.
• Demonstrated delivery of significant enterprise technology transformation, rather than strategy alone.
• Strong understanding of data, AI and emerging technology, with evidence of translating these into practical business outcomes.
• Exceptional people leadership, communication and change management capability.
• Ability to influence across different countries, cultures and business units.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable remaining hands-on when required.
• Credibility operating with CEOs, executive teams, boards and international shareholders.
• Experience within Engineering, logistics, Property or similarly complex multi-region environments would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
• Exposure to working across to post M&A situations and building new tech strategies.
