- Client Profile: High-Growth Web3 / Digital Asset Venture (Stealth Mode)
- Reporting To: Co-CEOs (Taiwan & Mainland China)
- Team Structure: Lean initial setup (0-to-1 buildout), scaling alongside business expansion
- Location: Hong Kong
Position Overview: We are seeking an entrepreneurial, hands‑on Chief Financial Officer (or Head of Finance) to build and lead the financial, treasury, and trust operations from 0 to 1 for a rapidly scaling Web3 venture.
This is not a traditional corporate controllership or passive reporting role. We require an agile, crypto‑native financial operator who deeply understands the mechanics of centralized/decentralized exchanges, Web3 wallet fund flows, on‑chain/off‑chain reconciliation, and Hong Kong Trust (TCSP) structures. You will roll up your sleeves to establish the foundational financial infrastructure, safeguard digital and fiat assets, and drive cross‑border tax and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. 0-to-1 Web3 Financial Operations & Treasury (~40%)
- On‑Chain & Fiat Treasury: Build and manage end‑to‑end treasury workflows covering fiat banking, stablecoins, hot/cold/multi‑sig wallets, and exchange clearing/settlement accounts.
- Fund Flow & Reconciliation: Establish automated and manual reconciliation processes for high‑frequency on‑chain transactions, gas fee provisioning, liquidity pools, and crypto‑to‑fiat payment rails.
- Internal Controls: Design rigorous internal control frameworks, signing authorities, and multi‑sig approval protocols to safeguard corporate and client digital assets from day one.
2. Hong Kong Trust (TCSP) & Corporate Structuring (~30%)
- 0-to-1 Trust Setup & Operations: Lead the establishment, licensing coordination, and daily operational landing of Hong Kong Trust / TCSP structures for asset segregation and custody.
- Cross‑Border Entity Management: Manage multi‑jurisdictional corporate structures (HK, BVI, Cayman, Taiwan, etc.) to support seamless global operations and asset protection.
- External Partner Liaison: Work closely with trustees, legal counsel, compliance advisors, banking/OTC partners, and external auditors.
3. Tax Planning, Compliance & Financial Reporting (~20%)
- Crypto Tax & Accounting: Formulate tax‑efficient cross‑border strategies and accounting policies tailored to digital assets, token economics, and cross‑border service fees (IFRS/HKFRS).
- Management Reporting: Deliver timely, accurate monthly consolidated financial statements, cash/crypto runway forecasts, and unit economics analysis to the Co‑CEOs.
4. System Implementation & Team Building (~10%)
- Crypto Sub‑Ledger & ERP Integration: Spearhead the deployment of modern cloud ERP and crypto accounting/sub‑ledger tools (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, TRES, Bitwave, or Cryptio) to streamline reporting.
- Team Scaling: Recruit and mentor a lean, high‑performing finance and settlement operations team as the business scales.
