Job summary

Links International in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned Network & Security Infrastructure Architect to lead private cloud network design and security platforms. You will drive architecture, incident response, and lifecycle management while collaborating with cloud architects and vendors to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure.

The role requires 8+ years in network/security infra with hands-on routing, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security expertise; fluency in English and Chinese is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field.
• 8+ years of network and security infra engineering/architecture experience.
• Hands-on expertise in routing, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, direct connectivity, and load balancing.
• Experience with cloud networking and security tech: VPC, cloud firewalls, WAF.
• Familiarity with ITSM, governance and compliance.
• Proficient in English and Chinese; Putonghua an advantage.

Responsibilities

As part of its ongoing technology modernization and cloud transformation journey, the organization is expanding its cloud platform capabilities and investing in resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure services.

Major Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary SME for network and security infrastructure within a private cloud environment.
• Lead architecture design, operational support, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of network and security platforms.
• Manage infrastructure components including routing, firewall, proxy, VPN, direct connectivity, load balancing, and security services.
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and resilience.
• Support onboarding of new applications and infrastructure projects by providing technical guidance and architecture expertise.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver secure and scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Oversee patching, capacity planning, platform upgrades, and compliance-related activities.
• Handle critical production incidents and major system events when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in network and security infrastructure engineering or architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in network architecture, routing, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, direct connectivity, and enterprise security platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure environments, ideally within regulated industries or financial services.
• Knowledge of cloud networking and security technologies, including VPC connectivity, cloud firewalls, WAF, and related services.
• Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Huawei, or similar enterprise networking and security technologies.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
