Job summary

Morgan Mckinley Limited is seeking a Chief Business Development Officer, Technology, to lead Strategic Alliances & Ecosystem Development and drive global partner growth. You will structure strategic partnerships, oversee distribution strategies, and align product and commercial efforts with key technology partners.

The role requires deep experience in large‑scale enterprise negotiations, cross‑functional governance, and executive leadership to unlock partner‑led revenue and geographic expansion

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a globally recognised university.
  • At least 20 years of relevant experience in technology solution sectors from large companies.
  • Solid business development or general management experience with consulting background.
  • Excellent command of Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
  • Strategic and tactical; able to formulate plans and execute in a fast-changing market.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale global partner ecosystems to drive co-selling and platform adoption.
  • Structure high-impact strategic alliances, technical integrations, and joint go-to-market initiatives with complementary enterprise platforms.
  • Negotiate OEM, reseller, and distributor agreements to broaden product reach across diverse sales channels.
  • Identify and execute strategies to enter new geographic regions, industry verticals, or customer segments.
  • Lead negotiations for large-scale enterprise deals, strategic co-developments, and revenue-sharing agreements.
  • Translate technical capabilities into packaged partner offerings, monetization strategies, and licensing models.
  • Maintain C-suite relationships with top enterprise partners and other strategic clients.
  • Establish KPIs, joint business plans, and governance frameworks to measure alliance health and partner-driven revenue.
  • Coordinate legal, finance, product, and customer support teams to onboard non-standard partner deals.

Chief Business Development Officer, Technology

Strategic Alliances & Ecosystem Development

  • Ecosystem Growth: Build and scale global partner ecosystems (e.g., cloud hyperscalers, global system integrators, ISVs) to drive co-selling and expand platform adoption.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Structure high-impact commercial alliances, technical integrations, and joint go-to-market (GTM) initiatives with complementary enterprise platforms.
  • Distribution & Channel Strategy: Negotiate original equipment manufacturer (OEM), reseller, and distributor agreements to broaden product reach across diverse sales channels.

Market Expansion & Revenue Acceleration

  • New Market Entry: Identify, evaluate, and execute commercial strategies to enter new geographic regions, industry verticals, or customer segments.
  • Complex Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations for non-standard, large-scale enterprise deals, strategic co-developments, and revenue-sharing agreements.

Product & Commercial Alignment

  • Informed Product Strategy: Synthesize market feedback and partner requirements to help Product and Engineering teams prioritize API integrations, features, and joint offerings.
  • Commercialization: Translate technical capabilities into packaged partner offerings, monetization strategies, and licensing models.

Alliance Governance & Executive Leadership

  • Partner Relationship Management: Maintain C-suite relationships across top enterprise partners, technology vendors, and strategic clients to unlock long-term value.
  • Governance & Metrics: Establish KPIs, joint business plans, and operational governance frameworks to measure alliance health and partner-driven revenue.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate legal, finance, product, and customer support teams to ensure seamless operational onboarding for non-standard partner deals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a globally recognised university
  • At least 20 years of relevant experience gained from large companies from the technology solution sector
  • Solid business development or general management experience coupled with consulting experience
  • Excellent command of Cantonese, English and Mandarin
  • Strategic and tactical; able to formulate plans and execute them in a fast-changing market
