Job summary

AcWise Recruitment Limited is seeking a senior finance professional to lead the accounts department in Hong Kong. You will ensure complete and accurate financial information for management review and annual audits, and drive policy implementation for daily closing procedures.

You will advise the CFO on all financial matters, maintain robust controls, and ensure compliance with HKFRS and the Hong Kong Insurance Companies Ordinances. Fluency in Mandarin, English and Cantonese is required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• Certified Public Accountant, Member of a professional accounting body.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting and/or auditing experience in insurance or banking.
• Experience in financial reporting under HKFRS and Hong Kong Insurance Companies Ordinances.
• A good problem solver with strong sense of ownership and self-motivation.
• A team player with proven leadership qualities.
• Strong data analysis and attention to detail.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese.

Job description

• Oversees the Accounts department to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information provided to management and to facilitate the completion of the annual financial audit;
• Develop and implement financial and operational policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the department for daily operational and monthly closing purposes;
• Provide timely information, support and recommendations to CFO on all financial aspects
• Maintain and review the financial information of the Company to ensure adequacy and the compliance with statutory reporting requirements
• Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets
• Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.

Requirements:
