Job summary

Feste Group operates Gingers and Relish Catering in Hong Kong and seeks an on-site service lead to deliver outstanding hospitality across diverse events. You will take ownership of the floor and work with the kitchen, operations and events teams to ensure guests receive consistently excellent service.

This hands-on role requires supervising staff, briefing before service, and adapting to a wide range of event sizes, from intimate receptions to large banquets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-of-house team at events and act as the senior representative on site
• Organise and allocate part-time service staff for each event
• Brief staff before service and ensure roles, timings and standards are understood
• Manage the flow of service throughout the event
• Serve guests personally and stay actively involved on the floor
• Ensure staff are well-presented, professional and proactive in hospitality
• Liaise confidently with clients, venues, suppliers and partners on site
• Handle last-minute changes and resolve issues calmly and efficiently
• Prepare packing and equipment lists and oversee set-up, service and breakdown
• Take responsibility for company equipment and accountability after events

Job description

You will be responsible for the on-site service and front-of-house operation of events, working closely with the kitchen, operations and events teams. This is a hands‑on, operational role for someone who knows what excellent hospitality looks like and can lead a service team to deliver it. Events vary enormously — from intimate canapé receptions for 10 guests, to private sit‑down dinners for 20, to banquets or corporate events for 100+ guests, or even service on a luxury yacht. You will walk into each environment, take ownership of the floor and ensure that clients and guests receive consistently excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the front‑of‑house team at events and act as the senior Feste Group representative on site
• Organise and allocate part‑time service staff for each event
• Brief staff before service and ensure everyone understands their roles, timings and service standards
• Manage the flow of service throughout the event
• Serve guests yourself and remain actively involved on the floor
• Ensure staff are well presented, professional, proactive and delivering the level of hospitality expected from Gingers and Relish
• Liaise confidently and professionally with clients, venues, suppliers and other event partners on site
• Handle last‑minute changes and solve operational issues calmly and efficiently
• Prepare packing and equipment lists for events and oversee set‑up, service and breakdown
• Take responsibility for company equipment and ensure items are properly accounted for after events

About you

• Have solid front‑of‑house hospitality experience, ideally at supervisor, assistant manager or restaurant manager level
• Have genuinely high standards of service and presentation
• Be comfortable leading a team while also getting involved yourself
• Be warm, polished and confident with clients and guests
• Understand the details that make good service feel effortless
• Be highly organised and able to think ahead
• Be comfortable working across very different styles and sizes of events
• Be able to remain calm and make decisions when things change unexpectedly
• Have strong spoken English; Cantonese would be an advantage
• Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends depending on the event schedule
