Job summary

AIG Insurance Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Underwriter, Casualty to help manage risk and deliver client-focused insurance solutions in casualty lines. The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical thinking, and building relationships with brokers, agents, and distribution partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Casualty products or General Insurance industry is a plus.
• Insurance market presence with Brokers or Agents is a plus.
• Excellent communicator with ability to deliver presentations and product trainings.
• Demonstrated high level of customer service.
• Good interpersonal skills and collaborative, a team player.
• Good analytical and decision-making mind; knowledge of statistics or data management is a plus.
• Some experience in relevant or commercial insurance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the assigned Casualty portfolio including major account underwriting, optimally balancing risk, customer engagement and experience.
• Own the development and management of business and analytic routines to drive production and profitability.
• Promote Casualty Lines products to international/local brokers and agencies.
• Build strong relationships with producers and distribution partners.
• Drive product/marketing/service initiatives across traditional and online channels to meet targets.
• Manage new and renewal submissions / complex accounts per underwriting guidelines.
• Select risks and determine premiums and terms and conditions.
• Conduct trainings, organise sales/marketing events and handle ad hoc projects for Casualty Lines.
• Support Senior Managers and adhere to risk policies and operating standards.
