Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an experienced restaurant service professional to join our Catering Department across three Clubhouses. You will ensure smooth service flow in your section and greet Members professionally.

You will monitor and enhance F&B services and staffing levels to achieve excellent Member satisfaction, train new staff, and coordinate marketing materials and feedback for future menu planning.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience in hotels, clubs or sizable catering establishment.
• Can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and efficient service flow in the assigned restaurant section.
• Monitor and enhance food & beverage services and staffing levels to achieve high satisfaction for Members and their guests.
• Support the Food and Beverage operations and provide excellent service to Members and guests.
• Meet and greet Members in professional manners.
• Assist the direct supervisor to manage SOP compliance and adapt to changes.
• Coach and train new staff and trainees to maintain service standards and align with the Club's culture.
• Promote Club's facilities and services to Members and collect feedback for menu planning.
• Coordinate the delivery of marketing programmes and promotional materials.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club ("the Club") is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Department

Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.

The Job

• Responsible for the smooth and efficient service flow in the assigned section of the restaurant.


• Monitor and enhance food & beverage services and facilities, and the optimum staffing level to achieve high satisfaction for the Members and their guests.


• Support the Food and Beverage operations and provide excellent service to Members and guests.


• Meet and greet Members in professional manners.


• Assist the direct supervisor to manage the compliance of staff with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements and service standards, especially when SOP changes are implemented.


• Coach and train new staff and trainees to maintain service standards, improve performance, and align with the Club's culture.


• Promote Club's facilities and services to Members and collect relevant feedback on Food and Beverage to share with the culinary team for follow-up and future menu planning.


• Coordinate the delivery of marketing programmes and promotional materials.


• Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

About You

• 5 years relevant experience in hotels, clubs or sizable catering establishment, with 2 years in similar position


• Can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment


• Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese
