Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an experienced Catering Operations professional to support its large F&B function across Clubhouses. You will provide top-tier service to Members and guests, greet them professionally, and assist the supervisor in ensuring SOP compliance and consistent service standards.

Role includes coaching new staff and trainees, promoting Club facilities, and gathering feedback to help shape future menus.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in hotel or sizable catering establishment, with two years in a similar position.
  • Fast food and bartender work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Food and Beverage operations and provide excellent service to Members and guests.
  • Meet and greet Members in professional manners.
  • Assist the direct supervisor to manage the compliance of staff with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements and service standards, especially when SOP changes are implemented.
  • Coach and train new staff and trainees to maintain service standards, improve performance, and align with the Club's culture.
  • Promote Club's facilities and services to Members and collect relevant feedback on Food and Beverage to share with the culinary team for follow-up and future menu planning.
  • Coordinate the delivery of marketing programmes and promotional materials.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Department

Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.

The Job
