Job description

We are currently looking for a Cantonese Localization Specialist to join our global team. Your work is to provide localization services for short commands/data sets by verifying the correctness of the grammatical/pronunciation of the provided linguistic data sets. Tasks may include voice recording, adjusting the data set in a software tool, transcribing the provided data set, and other work related to localizing the provided content. The above description encapsulates the process referred to as “ Prompt Tuning.” Prompt Tuning requires fluent speakers, as their accent should match someone who grew up in the target country, speaks the local language as a first language, and is familiar with how the language is spoken today in the country of interest. We may request voice recordings as part of internal project testing. These recordings will be used solely for evaluation purposes. Experience: Experience matters, but it's less about years of experience and more about your skill set. However, a technical background is preferred (basic knowledge of, e.g., Notepad++, UX, Python, HTML, etc.). We are looking for people who can handle various tasks, but one key task is Prompt Tuning. This requires excellent listening skills.

Requirements

• Having experience in localization is beneficial, and a background in linguistics is preferred.
• Having access to a Windows-based computer to complete the task.

Workload

The weekly workload will vary depending on the task. Sometimes, there will be 20 hours per week for several weeks, and later, another task will require 2 hours/week. It is on a project-by-project basis.

We will provide full training, and our project team will guide you through the process.

Rate

Rate: $6.00 per hour
