Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the Asian Equity Execution landscape and Prime Brokerage/Delta 1 is advantageous.
  • Analytical, commercial and logical mind-set with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of risks and regulatory rules applicable to an execution-services business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain complex problems clearly.

  • Coordinate and project manage BAU and strategic business initiatives.
  • Ensure proper control and governance for business activities and timely addressing risks/regulatory matters.
  • Interface between Business and Corporate Functions (IT, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Risk, Finance).
  • Identify and drive cost initiatives and synergies across platforms.
  • Collaborate with sales and trading on client outreach and marketing activities.

Job Overview:

Instinet is seeking to hire a VP, Business Manager, located in Hong Kong.

As a Business Manager, you will work with the regional Instinet leadership to ensure the business operates within risk appetite whilst delivering against strategic business goals. You will be a seasoned financial markets practitioner with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end trading workflows, industry trends and applicable risks, rules and regulations. You will have a can-do attitude and a passion for innovation and solving complex problems.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the Execution Service Business in AEJ
  • Coordinate and project manage BAU and strategic business initiatives
  • Ensure proper control and governance are in place for the business activities, and that risks/regulatory matters are address in a proper and timely addressed.
  • Act as the interface between Business and Corporate Functions (incl. IT & Operations, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Risk and Finance) to ensure that business activities are well supported
  • Identify and drive cost initiatives and synergies across the platforms
  • Work with sales and trading on client outreach and marketing activities
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
  • A strong understanding of the Asian Equity’s Execution landscape. Knowledge of Prime Brokerage and Delta 1 would be a significant advantage.
  • A strong analytical, commercial and logical mind-set with an attention to detail and the capacity to work well under pressure.
  • A good understanding of the risks applicable to an execution services business including comprehensive knowledge of appliable rules and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex problems in the simplest possible manner.
  • A highly collaborative mindset with a willingness to engage at the global level.
  • An attention to detail without losing sight of the overall objective.
  • An ability to analyse large data sets and present conclusions concisely.
