This system focuses on Client/Entity Administration, Management and Communication, and Document Management, and must strictly comply with the regulatory requirements of Hong Kong, BVI, and the Cayman Islands.
Role Purpose
This is a specialist role. We are looking for a compliance and business expert who can translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business rules for our development team. You will be the \"source of truth\" for all compliance-related business rules and operational procedures, ensuring the new system is built on a solid foundation.
Core Responsibilities
1. Compliance Rule Definition (Primary)
- Analyze and interpret company laws/ordinances, economic substance regulations, and AML, CRS, and Risk Assessment requirements for Hong Kong, BVI, and the Cayman Islands.
- Translate these requirements into precise business rules, data requirements, and process workflows for system implementation.
- Create and maintain a \"Compliance Rule Book\" that serves as the definitive reference for all system functionalities.
2. Business Requirements Support
- Collaborate with the UX/Front-end Specialist to ensure that system interfaces and workflows correctly reflect the defined compliance rules.
- Provide expert guidance to the Project Manager and the development team during sprint planning and development, clarifying business logic as needed.
- Define acceptance criteria for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from a compliance and business rule perspective, and lead the final validation from a business perspective.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between the Hong Kong business/compliance team and the technical development team, ensuring compliance requirements are clearly communicated.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes in the target jurisdictions and assess their impact on existing system requirements.
Qualifications (Mandatory)
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in the TCSP industry or a related financial services sector in Hong Kong.
- 1-2 years of demonstrable experience in defining or participating in the definition of business requirements for a core business relevant operational system (e.g., Viewpoint, CSA, KYC360, or similar).
Professional Skills
- Deep Industry Knowledge: Hands-on, practical understanding of the full corporate lifecycle (incorporation, maintenance, amendments, dissolution) for BVI, Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong entities.
- Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with key compliance areas such as Economic Substance, AML/KYC, and statutory filings for these jurisdictions.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to interpret legal and regulatory texts and translate them into structured business rules and process flows.
Communication & Languages
- Fluent in both Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English, with excellent written communication skills to produce clear, unambiguous documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical business stakeholders and a technical development team.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Professional qualifications such as HKICS/ICSA, CPA, or a law degree.
- Hands-on experience with Viewpoint Systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience developing software for Corporate Services, Entity Administration, Legal Tech, or FinTech. You should understand the nuances of corporate secretarial duties, statutory forms, and compliance workflows.
- Financial Systems Experience: Proven track record of building or customizing ERP, CRM, or Practice Management systems, specifically handling ledgers, time-charging, and dynamic billing cycles.
- Document Management System Experience: Experience building or integrating Document Management Systems (DMS) and workflow automation tools.
