Job summary

Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club 香港遊艇會 is seeking an experienced Banquet Sales Manager to lead the Banquet Sales team across three clubhouses. You will drive banquet sales, maximise revenue opportunities and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of banquet events for members and clients.

You will collaborate with Members, Clients, F&B, kitchens and other departments to deliver successful functions, club events and regattas while upholding high service standards and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Holder of Higher Diploma or above in Hospitality Management or Catering Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience in Banquet or Catering Sales, with at least 2 years in similar capacity.
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop profitable banquet business to maximise function room utilisation and sales contribution.
• Drive revenue through effective selling, up-selling and event enhancements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Members and function clients throughout pre-event, event and post-event journey.
• Coordinate with F&B Services, Kitchens and other departments to ensure smooth delivery of functions, in-house events and regattas.
• Work with Executive Chef and culinary teams on banquet menus and event requirements.
• Prepare banquet sales budgets, forecasts and sales analyses.
• Support promotional activities and contribute content for Ahoy! magazine and other Club communication channels.
• Lead, develop, appraise and support the Banquet Sales team.

We are now inviting experienced and dynamic candidates to join our team at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.

We are looking for talent for the position ofBanquet Sales Manager to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is reporting to our Head of Food & Beverage, you will lead and support the Banquet Sales team and take responsibility for driving banquet sales, maximising revenue opportunities and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of banquet business across our 3 Clubhouses at Kellett Island, Middle Island and Shelter Cove.

You will work closely with Members, Clients, the F&B service teams, Kitchens and other departments to deliver successful functions, Club events and regattas, while maintaining the Club’s high standards of service and member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop profitable banquet business to maximise function room utilisation and sales contribution
• Drive revenue through effective selling, up-selling and event enhancements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Members and function clients throughout the pre-event, event and post-event journey
• Coordinate closely with F&B Services, Kitchens and other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of functions, in-house events and regattas.
• Work with the Executive Chef and culinary teams on banquet menus and event requirements
• Prepare banquet sales budgets, forecasts and sales analyses
• Support promotional activities and contribute content for Ahoy! magazine and other Club communication channels.
• Lead, develop, appraise and support the Banquet Sales team
• Plan staffing resources effectively in accordance with business requirements and budget
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, service and member care

Qualifications & Skills

• Holder of Higher Diploma or above in Hospitality Management or Catering Management or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience in Banquet or Catering Sales, which at least 2 years in similar capacity
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
• Possess excellent guest services skills, excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work under pressure
• Good command of both written and spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
