Job summary

BAH Partners is seeking Software Engineers to build production-grade trading applications using Python and C++. The role supports front-office trading desks in Hong Kong or Sydney, partnering with traders and quantitative researchers on risk tools, data solutions, and automation across asset classes.

You will own systems from design through deployment, work on real-time data and market data challenges, and help drive cross-desk technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development skills with meaningful C++ experience.
• 1–7 years of software engineering experience.
• Front-office technology experience within a trading firm, hedge fund, investment bank, or market maker.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with financial data, real-time systems, or analytical platforms.
• The confidence to work directly with traders and understand commercial priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build production-grade trading and risk applications using Python and C++.
• Develop tools for position management, intraday risk, reporting, and research.
• Automate trading workflows, reconciliation, and operational controls.
• Deliver data solutions spanning multiple markets, exchanges, and asset classes.
• Adapt global platforms for APAC trading requirements.
• Partner directly with traders and researchers to turn ideas into practical solutions.
