BOCI, a leading investment bank in China and Hong Kong, is seeking a senior precious metal trader based in Hong Kong. You will price, execute and risk manage precious metal flows and derivative transactions across OTC spot, forwards, swaps, options and futures.

Collaborate with Sales to structure hedging and investment solutions for corporate and institutional clients, work with compliance, operations, risk and IT to ensure smooth desk execution and system upgrades, and contribute to the desk's

Qualifications

• University degree in finance or related field; CFA preferred.
• 5+ years of precious metal trading experience; other asset classes considered with track record.
• Advantage for candidates with 2+ years of HK or overseas experience.
• Extensive client network with strong interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of commodity trading models and product structures.
• Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English.

Responsabilités

• Actively manage market risk to meet individual and team budgets.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Price, execute and risk manage precious metal flow and derivative transactions across OTC spot, forward, swaps, options and futures;


• Actively manage market risk to meet individual and team budget;


• Work closely with Sales team to structure hedging and investment solutions for corporate and institutional clients;


• Collaborate with compliance, operation, risk and IT department to ensure smooth desk execution and system upgrades;


• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Skills & Experience

• University degree or above in relevant fields such as banking, finance, or business administration, CFA is preferred;


• At least 5 years of experience in Precious Metal trading, relevant experience in other asset class can be considered with proven track record;


• Candidates with over 2 years of working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;


• Extensive client network with strong interpersonal and communication skills;


• In-depth understanding of commodity trading models and product structures;


• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in Chinese and English.
