Zusammenfassung

BOC International Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong seeks an AVP/VP CTMS Programmer to maintain and enhance its in-house CTRM/CTMS system for middle-office functions including trade capture, P&L, risk and regulatory reporting. You will support traders, design and deploy applications and APIs, and ensure secure, scalable data workflows.

The role requires 4+ years in financial systems, strong C# and SQL Server skills, REST APIs experience, and ability to work in a bilingual environment (English/Chinese).

Qualifikationen

• Degree or higher diploma in CS/IT/Engineering/Finance/Math or related discipline.
• At least 4 years hands-on experience supporting in-house financial/trading/risk-management systems.
• HK or overseas experience is a plus; local Hong Kong experience is an advantage.
• C# proficiency and strong SQL/relational-database skills (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with REST APIs, messaging, batch processing, data integration, and interfaces.
• Experience building Windows desktop apps (WinForms/WPF) and/or backend services.
• Familiarity with commodity markets and trade lifecycle concepts is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management; good bilingual communication.

Aufgaben

• Maintain and enhance CTRM/CTMS system front end and back-end services and APIs.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to traders and users during critical periods.
• Participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications and databases.
• Investigate defects, data issues, performance problems, and incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Monitor availability, interfaces, batch jobs, alerts, and data workflows; ensure compliance with security standards.
• Develop database solutions on SQL Server, including schema design and migrations; tune performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow CI/CD practices; maintain documentation and support materials.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain and enhance the company's internally developed Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) system and tools, covering both the desktop application front end (.NET) and bank-end services, APIs and databases. The system is with a primary focus on middle-office functions including but not limited to trade capture, reconciliation, position management, profit and loss calculation, market and credit risk monitoring, as well as management and regulatory reporting, e.g., HKTR reporting;
• Provide day-to-day technical support to traders and system users, and resolve system issues promptly during critical trading, settlement, and reporting periods;
• Participate in the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications, APIs, and database components;
• Investigate and resolve system defects, data exceptions, calculation discrepancies, performance issues, and production incidents; conduct root-cause analysis and implement improvement measures;
• Monitor system availability, interfaces, batch processes, scheduled jobs, alerts, and data-processing workflows;
• Develop database solutions on SQL Server, including schema design, migrations and performance tuning;
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering standards for secure, maintainable software (Git, CI/CD, automated testing);
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and support materials;
• Ensure compliance with the company's information-security standards, internal controls, access-control policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements;
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Skills & Experience

• Degree of Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics or a related discipline;
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in support of in-house financial, trading, risk-management, ETRM, CTRM, or other business-critical systems, job experience covering incident response and release management;
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Proficiency in C# and strong SQL and relational-database skills (SQL Server preferred), including data reconciliation and performance tuning;
• Experience with REST APIs, messaging systems, batch processing, data integration, and system interfaces;
• Experience with building Windows desktop applications (WinForms/WPF) and/or backend services;
• Familiarity with commodity markets and understanding in trade lifecycle processes, valuation, P&L, positions, exposure, market data, credit risk, and settlement is a plus;
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management;
• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in Chinese and English.
