Job summary

BOC International Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a senior AVP/VP for Global Futures & Options Operations. The role oversees HK and global clearing operations, including reconciliations, client data and statements, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

AVP/VP, Global Futures & Options, Operations

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee global and Hong Kong futures and options clearing operations for BOC International Futures Co., Ltd. and BOC International (Hong Kong) Limited, including trade reconciliation, issuance of client statements, and client data management;
• Manage budget planning and human resources matters for the Futures and Options team, including interviewing, recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and approval of employee leave; lead personnel training and team building initiatives;
• Authorize fund transfers, including settlement of clearing funds with HKEX, collection and delivery of margin requirements from global futures and options clearing houses, and transfer of idle client funds in bank accounts;
• Supervise and enhance daily operations and procedures of the team, handling internal and external inquiries related to daily clearing and settlement; ensure workflow compliance with regulatory guidelines and BOCI Group policies;
• Lead and participate in cross-departmental projects to provide support for new business initiatives;
• Maintain close communication with system vendors to resolve urgent issues and mitigate operational risks;
• Assist other teams by completing necessary authorizations and approvals for their daily operations; serve as the backup approver of the Cash Management Team and OTC Derivatives Clearing roles;
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Skills & Experience

• Work Experience 7~10 years in Operations;
• Familiar with Investment Banking environment, with good understanding on exchange trade products and process trades, in particular on regulation reporting and requirements;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Experience in handling project works.
