Job summary

BOC International Holdings Limited (BOCI) is seeking a data-driven Operations Analyst to support account opening, maintenance and due diligence reviews, while handling market data and MTMs. The role emphasizes process controls, audits, risk reduction, and workflow automation in a fast-paced I-bank environment.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 1 year of banking experience, with strong analytics and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Information System, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics or relevant discipline.
• 1-year relevant working experience in I-bank or Financial Institution.
• Advantage for candidates with HK or overseas work experience.
• Strong business analytics capability.
• Experience with account opening, client due diligence and AML requirements.
• Project coordination experience.
• Detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; coding knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency in Mandarin, English, Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Provide operation support to account opening, maintenance and due diligence reviews including client document checking, profile setup and information updates.
• Handle non-client and market data including investment products and market data; manage MTM data.
• Develop controls and improve daily processes to reduce risk and streamline workflows.
• Assist internal/external reviews or audits.
• Assist with W8 updates and audit inquiries; manage death/court case accounts.
• Participate in projects and drive workflow enhancements and UAT for process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate data workflows using RPA or data visualization tools.
• Analyze business requirements related to back office systems.

Job description

• Provide operation support to account opening & maintenance & periodic / trigger event due diligence review, including client document checking, customer profile setup and customer information update;
• Handle non-client and market data, such as investment product and market data, as well as market value (MTM) data from internal and external data;
• Perform data control, assist in developing appropriate controls and enhancing daily process flow to eliminate the risk of daily process;
• Assist to handle internal / external review or audit;
• Assist with W8 updates, prepare audit inquiry letters, and handle accounts related to death and court cases;
• Participate in projects related to new business initiatives, and actively engage in workflow enhancement and user acceptance testing for process enhancement;
• Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and reduce manual intervention through the use of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) or data visualization tools;
• Understand and analyze business requirements related to back office systems;
• Provide ad-hoc analytics for manager when necessary;
• Handle enquiries from Front Office colleagues;
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned, such as routine work of risk control and quality assurance, data governance and etc.

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Information System, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics or relevant discipline;
• 1-year relevant working experience in I-bank or Financial Institution;
• Candidate with working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Sound business analytic skill;
• Experience in handling of account opening, client due diligence and AML requirement;
• Experience in project coordination;
• Attention to details and excellent communication skills;
• Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point. Knowledge in coding is an advantage;
• Proficiency in Mandarin, English, Cantonese.
