Job summary

BOC International Holdings Limited (BOCI) is seeking an AVP/VP, ESG & Sustainability Advisor within the IBD. This role provides ESG and sustainability advisory services to corporate clients, supports Green Bond Framework structuring, and leads green and ESG financing initiatives.

Responsibilities include pitching for mandates, collaborating with DCM on ESG matters, coordinating with rating agencies for ESG certification, and guiding junior team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ESG and sustainability advisory experience, preferably in an investment bank or rating company.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Law.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; good team player.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Pleasant and presentable, able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESG and sustainability advisory to DCM clients and report to Head of DCM.
• Recommend Green Bond Framework structuring and ESG matters for clients.
• Lead sustainability financing mandates and act as Sustainability Structuring Advisor.
• Collaborate with DCM deal pitches and execution on ESG matters.
• Coordinate with rating agencies and second party opinion providers for ESG certification.
• Guide junior DCM team members on ESG topics.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by team leader.

Key Accountabilities

• As a senior member of the DCM team in providing ESG & Sustainability advice to clients, reporting to the Head of DCM;
• Make recommendations for Green Bond Framework structuring, assist and advise clients in all ESG and sustainability related matters;
• Responsible for pitching and obtaining mandates to act as Sustainability Structuring Advisor in DCM transactions, and for leading the green and ESG financing initiatives within the company, reporting to senior management and HQ;
• Work closely with DCM team on deal pitching and execution with respect to ESG related matters;
• Work closely with rating companies and second party opinion providers in obtaining ESG certification;
• Provide guidance to junior members of the DCM team especially in ESG related matters;
• Such other tasks assigned by team leader from time to time.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law related preferred;
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in ESG and sustainability advisory role, preferably obtained within an investment bank or a rating company;
• Pleasant and presentable, good team player;
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint;
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin.
