Job summary

BOC International Holdings Limited in Hong Kong seeks a senior ESG & Sustainability Advisor within the IBD/DSCM team. You will provide expert ESG guidance, structure green bond frameworks, and lead sustainability initiatives.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in ESG advisory, strong Mandarin and English, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. You will interact with rating agencies and clients across the DCM platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Law preferred.
• At least 5 years of ESG and sustainability advisory experience.
• Pleasant and presentable; good team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESG and sustainability advice to clients as part of the DCM team.
• Make recommendations for Green Bond Framework structuring and advise clients on ESG matters.
• Pitch and obtain mandates to act as Sustainability Structuring Advisor in DCM transactions, and lead green/ESG financing initiatives.
• Work closely with rating agencies and second party opinion providers to obtain ESG certification.
• Guide junior DCM team members on ESG matters and support senior leadership.

Key Accountabilities

As a senior member of the DCM team in providing ESG & Sustainability advice to clients, reporting to the Head of DCM;

Make recommendations for Green Bond Framework structuring, assist and advise clients in all ESG and sustainability related matters;

Responsible for pitching and obtaining mandates to act as Sustainability Structuring Advisor in DCM transactions, and for leading the green and ESG financing initiatives within the company, reporting to senior management and HQ;

Work closely with DCM team on deal pitching and execution with respect to ESG related matters;

Work closely with rating companies and second party opinion providers in obtaining ESG certification;

Provide guidance to junior members of the DCM team especially in ESG related matters;

Such other tasks assigned by team leader from time to time.

Skills & Experience

Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law related preferred;

At least 5 years of relevant experience in ESG and sustainability advisory role, preferably obtained within an investment bank or a rating company;

Pleasant and presentable, good team player;

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint;

Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin.
