Job summary

Bank of Singapore Hong Kong invites applications for a detail-oriented Associate Vice President to join our Monitoring and Assurance team. You will conduct surveillance reviews on investment transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and HKMA/SFC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in private banking, investment monitoring, compliance, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of private banking products, investment transactions, and HKMA/SFC regulations in Hong Kong.
• Proven experience in transaction surveillance or controls.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in banking systems, MS Office and PowerBI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance reviews and continuous monitoring of investment transactions to identify risks, irregularities or regulatory violations.
• Oversee development and management of advanced surveillance methodologies and sampling techniques.
• Prepare detailed surveillance reports communicating findings, trends and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead initiatives to automate and streamline surveillance workflows using technology.
• Support internal audits and regulatory examinations with data and explanations related to monitoring activities.
• Support Complaint Handling investigations leveraging surveillance techniques as needed.
