Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd. seeks an experienced AVP-level operational risk professional to join the CBWMO Risk and Control team in Hong Kong.

You will foster a strong risk culture, maintain robust control frameworks, and proactively identify, assess and mitigate operational risks within high-volume consumer banking and wealth management operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
• 5–8 years in operational risk, controls, audit, or back-office in banking.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and incident protocols.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional influence.
• Analytical, proactive, detail-oriented with a do-it-right mindset.

Responsibilities

• Risk Identification & Assessment: perform regular RCSA to identify process gaps and emerging operational risks.
• Control Framework Enhancement: challenge and improve controls to prevent losses and ensure compliance.
• Incident Management: lead investigations, conduct RCA, implement corrective actions.
• Stakeholder Management: partner with internal/regional stakeholders to provide risk advice.
• Reporting & Governance: maintain KRIs and quality metrics for senior management.
• Innovation & Digitization: contribute to risk-aware transformation including AI/automation.
• Culture Building: promote a risk-first mindset and coach teams.
