HKEX is expanding its Data Business team to shape the index product. Join a growing function responsible for differentiating index offerings aligned with our exchange strategy and broader market initiatives. This role demands strategic execution and hands-on project implementation, working with cross-functional teams and external data vendors.

You will review indices, manage data, assess market actions, and drive governance-ready materials, contributing to scalable and robust index processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in financial markets; experience in Index/ETF, asset management or quantitative research preferred.
• Strong understanding of index methodologies, governance and data controls.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Conduct regular index reviews and ad hoc adjustments per methodologies and governance.
• Analyze datasets for index reviews; resolve data discrepancies with vendors.
• Monitor market developments, corporate actions and issuer disclosures for index impact.
• Prepare documentation and materials for governance discussions.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors to implement index changes accurately.
• Identify enhancements to review processes and automation for efficiency.
