Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group (Global) Ltd in Hong Kong seeks an AVP to join the Global Commodities team. The role involves structuring both Exchange-Traded and OTC commodity derivatives and working closely with senior traders and clients to drive origination and risk-managed solutions.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in commodities derivatives within top financial institutions, with fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering or a related discipline.
CFA or relevant professional designation is an advantage.
At least 6 years of experience in commodities derivatives sales, marketing or structuring.
Experience in Hong Kong or overseas markets is preferred (2+ years).
Deep knowledge of OTC and Exchange-Traded commodity derivatives.
Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is essential.

Responsibilities

Drive sales and origination for Exchange-Traded and OTC derivatives to institutional clients.
Cultivate and manage key counterparty relationships and tailor hedging solutions.
Collaborate with trading desks to execute client orders and provide transaction support.
Monitor daily positions, credit exposures and ensure compliance with risk policies.
Develop new commodity products and organize institutional marketing events.
Ensure adherence to HKMA/SFC rules and internal regulatory standards.
