Job summary

Links International in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Frontend Architect to lead architecture design, development, and delivery of banking frontend platforms including Mobile and Internet Banking. You will drive rapid iterations, ensure security and scalability, and collaborate across Product, Design, Backend, QA and DevOps to deliver timely releases.

• Solid DevOps knowledge: Git, Node.js, Vite/Webpack, CI/CD, Docker.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization and security mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to align with business, product, QA and design teams.

Job description

Lead the architecture design, development, and delivery of banking frontend platforms, including Mobile Banking Apps, Internet Banking systems, and Operations Back Office applications, ensuring rapid product iteration and successful production releases.

Design and implement frontend solutions based on business requirements while ensuring high standards of reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Drive frontend architecture enhancement initiatives, tackle complex technical challenges, optimize application performance, manage production incidents, and oversee technical risk mitigation.

Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and timely release delivery.

Establish and continuously improve frontend engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, quality assurance processes, and development standards.

Conduct regular code reviews, security assessments, and vulnerability remediation to address frontend security risks such as XSS, CSRF, and sensitive data exposure.

Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and AI-powered development tools to improve technical capabilities and engineering efficiency.

Lead and manage a frontend engineering team of approximately 10 members, covering goal setting, resource planning, task allocation, talent development, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

At least 7 years of frontend development experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or fintech environments.

Minimum 3 years of people management experience, with a proven track record of leading engineering teams.

Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and ecosystems, with demonstrated experience designing and delivering scalable architectures for medium-to-large-scale applications.

Hands-on experience with cross-platform development technologies such as Flutter and React Native, as well as frontend/backend decoupled architectures.

Solid understanding of software engineering and DevOps toolchains, including Git, Node.js, Vite/Webpack, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and related technologies.

Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex production issues.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, combined with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, product teams, and QA functions to drive project delivery and achieve business objectives.
