Job summary

HKEX is seeking high-caliber professionals to manage operations for trading futures and options across multiple underlying assets and indices. You will develop rules and policies for derivatives market trading and monitor the trading system to ensure a transparent, fair, and efficient environment.

The role requires leadership and oversight across strategy execution and project implementation, with focus on risk controls, cross-team collaboration, and continual improvement of trading operations.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Technology or related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial markets, exchange/trading operations or derivatives.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives products, market practices and trading procedures.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with sound judgment under time-critical situations.
• Proficient in English and Chinese; Putonghua an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Power BI, SQL, VBA, Python or similar tools is a plus.
• Shift duties are required; prior shift experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Execute Morning Shift trading operations and support the Morning Shift Team Lead in daily activities.
• Manage operational risks, exceptional cases, and contingency measures during live market operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, Exchange rules and procedures.
• Maintain timely communication with participants, internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate projects, system enhancements, new product implementations, and policy reviews.
• Drive workflow automation and process improvements; enhance controls.
• Prepare operating procedures, management reports and provide guidance to junior staff.
