Job summary

Hang Seng Bank Limited in Central, Hong Kong Island, seeks an AVP for Business Banking to lead a portfolio of SME customers with tailored facilities. You will drive sales targets while managing costs and credit risk, building strong relationships through key customers and partners.

You will coach junior team members and monitor loan quality to ensure robust controls and total quality management across the portfolio, contributing to service excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• University degree in Banking, Business Management, Finance or related field.
• Proven sales and marketing experience in commercial lending to SMEs.
• Regulatory qualification exposure under HK SFO is preferred.
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer-oriented skills; bilingual English/Chinese.
• Certified Banker (HKIB) or Enhanced Competency Framework are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and monitor a portfolio of SME customers with appropriate facilities.
• Meet or exceed the annual operating plan with controlled expenses and credit risk.
• Maintain close relationships with customers and acquire new ones via partners.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members.
• Monitor loan book quality and ensure controls to minimize risk.
