Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd is seeking an Associate for Post Trade Market Access & Administration to support the daily operations of the department and assist onboarding, account setup and MIS reporting for management review.

Responsibilities include performing due diligence and know-your-customer checks for Clearing and Investor Participants, enhancing control through process changes, and supporting new product initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, business, or related disciplines.
• 3-4 years' experience in securities firms or financial institutions.
• Strong English and Chinese, Putonghua a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient PC skills; macros and VBA are an advantage.

• Perform account setup and administration for Clearing Participants and Investor Participants.
• Carry out due diligence and KYC for onboarding, monitoring and reporting.
• Propose operational flow changes to strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Support implementation of new products and business initiatives.

To support the daily operation of Post Trade Market Access & Administration

Job Duties

• Performcriticaloperational dutiessuch as accountsetup, accountadministration,support functions to ClearingParticipants/ Investor ParticipantsandpreparingMIS reportsfor Management’s review
• Carry out due diligence and know-your-customer procedures for Clearing Participant/ Investor Participantsonboarding, account monitoring and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements, such as FATCA and AEOI.
• Proposeappropriate operational flow changes to strengthen the control and enhance day-to-day operational efficiency
• Support implementation of new products, projects, and business initiatives
• Undertake other ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors

Job Requirements

• University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration or related disciplines
• At least3-4years' relevant experiences in securities firms or well-established financial institutions with knowledge in securities with exposure to Hong Kong and Mainland cash and derivatives markets
• Good common of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage
• Self-motivated, great attention to details, good team player, strong communication and presentation skills
• Conversant PC skills including MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Access; proficiency in Macros and VBA is an advantage
