Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a diligent Clearing Operations support professional to assist in delivering reliable day-to-day processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will liaise with internal teams and market participants, handle exceptions, and contribute to new clearing initiatives while supporting occasional evening and public holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in finance, business, accounting or economics.
• Experience in financial industry, preferably derivatives or clearing operations.
• Strong written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative support to clearing operations; resolve exceptions swiftly.
• Carry out efficient processes to deliver quality services and support new initiatives.
• Liaise with internal teams and market participants on daily operations and new clearing products/services.
• Deliver project tasks including user requirements and UATs.
• Maintain relationships with participants by delivering quality service improvements.
• Contribute to occasional evening and public holiday duty coverage.

Job Summary:

The team is an energetic team with 10+ teammates, we are responsible for delivering reliable operational support across clearing operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day processes while also supporting the implementation of new business initiatives.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Provide competent operational and administration support to the clearing operations, and resolve exceptions and contingency situations swiftly and professionally
• Carry out effective and efficient operational processes in order to deliver quality services and to support new business initiatives
• Liaise with internal teams, external business counterparties, market participants on daily operations and new clearing products / services
• Deliver project tasks including user requirements and users acceptance tests
• Establish and maintain operational relationships actively with participants by delivering quality service improvements
• Work shift duties including evening shift and public holiday support on regular and need basis

Requirements:

• University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration / Accountancy / Economics or related discipline
• 1 - 2 years’ relevant experience in financial industry, preferably in the derivatives or OTC clearing operations
• Self-driven with the ability to articulate and contribute with clear and open communication, with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
• Strong analytical thinking and risk awareness to day-to-day operations
• Conversant with Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint, knowledge in automatic tools (e.g. Power Automate) is an advantage
• Work shift duties including evening shift and public holiday support on regular and need basis
