Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm delivering end-to-end advisory services through the INFRA practice across Asia. We support clients in transportation, utilities, energy, and mining with project advisory, capital strategy and delivery expertise.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, 2+ years in consulting, and fluency in English and Cantonese (Mandarin a plus).

The Team

The Infrastructure & Capital Projects (INFRA) practice provides end-to-end project advisory services across five core service propositions:

• Transaction Advisory - financial, technical and regulatory due diligence for bid-side
• Capital Strategy and Sourcing - raising finance to deliver infrastructure
• Value Creation - maximising value across a portfolio
• Capital Delivery - project and program management advisory and dispute support
• Operational Turnaround - asset optimisation and performance improvement

We combine strategic and operational expertise with technical knowledge to support clients across Asia in the transportation and logistics; power and utilities; energy; social infrastructure; and mining sectors. A&M INFRA advise developers; sponsors; lenders and investors; and project leaders to select, structure, improve and execute capital projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.

How You Will Contribute

• Conduct detailed analyses to identify root causes of issues and apply a structured problem-solving approach to prepare initial recommendations
• Communicate confidently with team members and project stakeholders, structuring presentations and reports clearly
• Manage own work as part of a wider project, coordinating with team members for smooth execution and identifying key risks and escalating as required
• Understand infrastructure sector trends and apply insights and technical skills to enhance the quality of A&M INFRA deliverables
• Foster a culture of teamwork, respect and inclusion, sharing knowledge and support with peers and analysts
• Establish credibility with peers and broader teams and start to build professional networks internally and externally

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Finance, Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related degree
• 2+ years of experience in consulting or other related areas
• Some knowledge of INFRA service lines and experience in supporting consulting projects across a range of sectors
• Fluent in English and Cantonese. Fluent in Mandarin is a plus but not required
