Job summary

Standard Chartered in Hong Kong seeks an Associate Director to support the Sponsor Financing and Private Credit strategy, working with senior bankers to identify and execute transactions. You will prepare financing proposals, market updates and information memoranda, and assist in elevating SCB's market presence in the region.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field and experience in finance or accounting, with strong knowledge of business and market dynamics, as well

• Work alongside sponsors in opportunity identification, origination and execution of Sponsor Financing and Private Credit transactions.
• Prepare financing proposals, market updates or other marketing materials for circulation with clients.
• Assist in up-tiering SCB's market presence in the region.
• Prepare and present information memoranda, financial models and BCAs.
• Carry out due diligence including third-party work.
• Liaise with clients and internal/external stakeholders to complete deal execution tasks.

Associate Director, Sponsor Financing and Private Credit

• Support the overall Sponsor Financing and Private Credit strategy providing value-added input to Sponsor Financing and Private Credit seniors
• Analyse opportunities to ensure that transactions are in alignment with the strategy

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside Sponsor Financing and Private Credit seniors in opportunity identification, origination and execution of all Sponsor Financing and Private Credit transactions
• Prepare Sponsor Financing and Private Credit financing proposals, market updates or other marketing materials for circulation and discussion with clients
• Assist in up-tiering SCB's market presence in the region
• Prepare and present information memoranda, financial model and BCAs etc
• Carry out various due diligence, including but not limited to relying on the work of third-party due diligence providers
• Liaise with clients, external and internal stakeholders to complete necessary tasks in deal execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
• Experience in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
