Job summary

Savills (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an Associate Director, Finance to lead financial operations for the agency and valuation businesses. You will partner with business heads, drive profitability, and oversee reporting and controls.

The role requires a CA/CPA qualification and 10–12 years' relevant experience, including system implementations and process improvements. English and Chinese communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably in real estate, agency, professional services or a similar environment.
• Hands-on involvement in system implementation projects, from requirements to post-implementation review.
• Experience supporting digitalisation and process improvement to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Solid knowledge of internal controls, governance, regulatory compliance and risk management practices.
• Demonstrated leadership in supervising and developing finance professionals.
• High integrity, professionalism and sound judgement, with the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO in managing the financial operations of the agency and valuation businesses, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Act as a finance business partner to heads of business and management teams to support performance, profitability and efficiency.
• Prepare financial analysis, management reports and recommendations to support decision making.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Monitor cost control, margin performance and revenue recognition for agency and valuation transactions.
• Assist in maintaining internal controls, governance standards and compliance processes.
• Collaborate with business leaders to monitor KPIs, trends and accountability for financial performance.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators on audits and compliance matters.
• Supervise and develop finance team members to strengthen capabilities and commercial awareness.
• Participate in finance transformation initiatives and system implementations; assist in requirements, UAT and post-implementation reviews.
• Support strategic planning, budgeting exercises and ad hoc projects for the CFO and senior management.

Associate Director, Finance

Job duties:

Support the CFO in managing the financial operations of the agency and valuation businesses, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management

Act as a key finance business partner to business heads and management teams in supporting business performance, profitability and operational efficiency

Prepare financial analysis, management reports and recommendations to support decision-making across agency and valuation operations

Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

Monitor cost control, margin performance and revenue recognition for agency and valuation transactions, and identify opportunities for improvement

Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, governance standards and compliance processes across the business units

Work closely with business leaders to monitor key performance indicators, analyse business trends and support accountability for financial performance

Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities on audit, taxation and compliance matters as required

Supervise, mentor and develop finance team members to strengthen technical competencies, operational effectiveness and commercial awareness

Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system implementation projects and process improvement programmes, including requirement gathering, user acceptance testing and post-implementation reviews

Support strategic planning, budgeting exercises and ad hoc projects assigned by the CFO or senior management.

Requirements:

University degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines

Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent is required

Minimum 10 to 12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably gained in real estate, agency, professional services or a similar commercial environment

Proven experience in a senior finance management position with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting and business partnering activities

Hands-on involvement in system implementation projects, including requirement definition, user acceptance testing, process design and post-implementation review

Experience supporting digitalisation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reporting quality and operational transparency

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial information and provide practical business insights

Sound knowledge of internal controls, financial governance, regulatory compliance and risk management practices

Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across different business functions

Demonstrated leadership capability in supervising and developing finance professionals

High level of integrity, professionalism and sound judgement.

Detail-oriented, well organised and able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
