Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an Associate in Collateral Management Operations to manage daily margin calls, reconciliations and client reporting for capital markets transactions.

You will liaise with counterparties, monitor settlements, investigate discrepancies and collaborate with Front Office, Risk and Treasury to support collateral processes.

A degree in Finance or related field plus 4+ years of experience is required.

Associate, Collateral Management Operations

This role is responsible for managing collateral and margin requirements for capital markets transactions, including margin calls, reconciliations, client reporting, dispute resolution, and daily operational controls.

Description

• Manage daily margin call activities for OTC derivatives, repo, and equity finance products, ensuring timely calculation, issuance, and processing of collateral requirements.
• Liaise directly with counter parties to negotiate margin differences, investigate valuation discrepancies, and resolve collateral disputes efficiently.
• Monitor and coordinate collateral settlements, ensuring cash and securities movements are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Perform collateral reconciliations and follow up on outstanding margin calls, aged balances, and unusual counterparty behaviours to mitigate operational and credit risk.
• Partner with Front Office, Risk, Treasury, and external clients to support collateral management processes, contract setup, and ongoing margin-related queries.

Profile
