Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking an Associate for Derivatives Client Services to reinforce client centricity in daily operations. You will handle inquiries and support onboarding, tests, and rollout coordination.

The role requires a finance/CS/statistics degree and 4+ years in the financial industry, preferably derivatives operations. Strong English and Chinese, Excel and VBA/Power BI skills are valued; a team-player with great organization will thrive.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process client onboarding and review technical tests; coordinate rollout with other teams.
• Maintain client databases and handle billing; update HKEX website areas.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with other teams to complete user acceptance tests.

Client Centricity as one of the strategic execution pillars, we are looking for a motivated Associate to join our Derivatives Client Services team.

Job Duties:

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the client enquiries function for Derivatives markets, ensuring that client enquiries are handled promptly and professionally
• Manage critical daily tasks on derivatives operations, including processing client on-boarding, reviewing technical tests and collaborating with other teams on scheduling rollout. Other operational tasks include maintenance of client databases, billing handling, device and updating relevant areas of HKEX website
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve overall operational performance
• Collaborate with other teams to complete user acceptance tests

Job Requirements:

• University degree or higher in finance, computer science, statistics, or a similar subject
• 4 years or more of work experience in the financial industry, with a preference for roles related to derivatives operations (client on-boarding, technical testing and hotline). Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for the “Officer” level
• A team-player attitude and ability to develop strong relationships
• Strong organizational skills, task prioritization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge in securities with exposure to Hong Kong and Mainland cash and derivatives markets
• Have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in VBA Programming and Microsoft Power BI is a plus
