Job summary

Hong Kong BGE Limited is seeking an Operations professional to support OTC and exchange activities in Hong Kong. You will manage reconciliations, onboarding, and compliance while assisting with reporting and system improvements.

The role requires 1–3 years in financial services or virtual assets, a finance-related degree, and English/Cantonese/Mandarin fluency. A HKSI/HK SFC license is preferred. We offer an energetic FinTech environment with strong career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years in operations, settlement, or client service within financial services or the virtual asset industry.
• SFC License Type 1 holder, or passes in HKSI Papers 1, 7, and 8 highly preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Chinese word processing.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• OTC & Exchange Operations: Manage daily workflows for cash, trades, and settlements.
• Reconciliations: Execute daily cash and digital asset reconciliations.
• OTC Support: Process RFQ and ensure timely settlement of off-platform trades.
• Transaction Processing: Handle fiat and virtual asset deposits/withdrawals within set cut-off times.
• Liquidity Management: Monitor hot and cold wallet levels to support daily trading.
• Client Onboarding & Compliance: End-to-end KYC/KYB for individuals and corporates.
• Compliance: AML/CTF screenings, verify documentation, maintain records.
• Regulatory Guidance: Explain relevant virtual asset laws to clients.
• Support & Relationship Management: Resolve queries about trading platform and OTC desk.
• Technical Education: Explain complex concepts like gas fees, slippage, and cold storage.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot user issues and escalate to product/security teams.
• Reporting & System Development: Prepare MIS reports; assist with UAT testing and feature updates.
• Process Improvement: Work with internal teams to remove bottlenecks.

What You Will Do:

OTC & Exchange Operations

Reconciliations:

Execute daily cash and digital asset reconciliations.

OTC Support:

Resolve queries and complaints regarding the trading platform and OTC desk.

Technical Education:

Explain complex concepts (e.g., gas fees, slippage, cold storage) simply.

Issue Resolution:

Troubleshoot user issues and elevate technical bugs to product/security teams.

Reporting & System Development

Reporting:

Prepare daily/weekly operational and risk reports (MIS) for management.

UAT Testing:

Assist the tech team with User Acceptance Testing for new features and updates.

Process Improvement:

Partner with internal teams to eliminate operational bottlenecks.

You Are the Right Person If You Have:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:

1–3 years in operations, settlement, or client service within financial services or the virtual asset industry.

Licensing:

SFC License Type 1 holder, or passes in HKSI Papers 1, 7, and 8 highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Chinese word processing.

Industry Knowledge:

Solid understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and OTC/exchange trading mechanics.

Languages:

Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (written and spoken).
