Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
• 3+ years of risk management experience in asset management, securities firms, or financial institutions.
• On-the-ground work experience physically based outside mainland China.
• Solid knowledge of global financial instruments across fixed income, FX, equity and derivatives; understanding HK regulations; CFA/FRM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investment monitoring across diverse portfolios, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and mandate restrictions.
• Monitor and manage risks across market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk.
• Perform performance attribution and risk analysis for portfolios; enhance analytics tools and models.
• Conduct ex-ante risk assessments for new projects and strategies; issue independent risk opinions.
• Support construction and optimization of risk management systems and data governance.
• Coordinate with HQ risk team to implement Group-level risk requirements across offshore business.
• Establish and refine daily risk monitoring, warning, and reporting mechanisms; standardize escalation workflows.
• Present updates to investment/risk committees on risk metrics, exposures, and events.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Conduct investment monitoring across diverse portfolios, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and mandate restrictions.
• Monitor and manage comprehensive risks across market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.
• Perform performance attribution and risk analysis for portfolios, enrich analytical tools and models.
• Conduct ex-ante risk assessments for new projects, investment strategies, and innovative business initiatives, issuing independent risk opinions.
• Support the construction and continuous optimization of risk management systems, and risk data governance.
• Coordinate with HQ risk team to implement Group-level vertical risk management requirements, and ensure risk management is effectively enforced across offshore business.
• Establish and refine daily risk monitoring, warning, and reporting mechanisms, standardizing risk escalation and disposal workflows.
• Present regular updates to investment/risk committees on risk metrics, overall exposures, and risk events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
• 3+ years of risk management experience in asset management, securities firms, or financial institutions, with a solid understanding of buy-side investment risk.
• Mandatory on-the-ground work experience physically based outside mainland China.
• Solid knowledge of global financial instruments across fixed income, FX, equity and derivatives; good understanding of Hong Kong regulatory requirements; familiarity with Singapore asset management regulations is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, and advanced Excel/data analysis tools; professional qualifications such as FRM or CFA are preferred.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken), Cantonese is a plus.
• Passion for contributing to a leading China-focused asset manager with global ambitions.
