China Horizon Asset Management Limited is seeking a talented candidate to join the Fund Management team. The role focuses on investment and portfolio risk monitoring, operational and governance risk management, and regulatory compliance within a cross-border asset management institution serving global Chinese high-networth clients, family offices, and institutional investors.
We are licensed as a licensed corporation by the SFC to carry out Type 4 (advising on securities) and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities pursuant to the SFO.
At this time, we are looking for a talented candidate to join our Fund Management team.
Monitor portfolio risk parameters daily, including Market Risk (Value at Risk / VaR, tracking error, exposure limits), Credit Risk (counterparty exposure, rating downgrades), and Liquidity Risk.
Ensure fund managers operate strictly within defined mandate limits, prospectus constraints, and regulatory leverage rules.
Conduct routine and ad‑hoc stress testing and scenario analyses to assess portfolio resilience against extreme market movements.
Leverage big data analytics on large-scale market data to identify potential risks and support quantitative risk modeling.
Maintain and update the firm’s Risk Management Framework, Risk Register, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
Review front-to-back operational processes (trade execution, valuation, fund administration, settlements) to prevent trade errors or operational failures.
Oversee the New Product Approval (NPA) process to evaluate the risk profile and operational readiness for launching new fund strategies.
Work alongside the Compliance team to ensure adherence to relevant local and offshore regulatory rules (e.g., SFC Fund Manager Code of Conduct, AML/CTF rules)
Degree holders or above in Business, Finance or related fields.
Minimum 8 years in quantitative trading architectures and model risk management.
Familiar with Python/related IT tool for Risk Modeling and whole risk management process. Able to thrive in a fast‑paced team environment and crisis response agility
An in-depth understanding of global commodity futures markets, with specific expertise in the Chinese futures market and practical experience collaborating with mainland futures companies.
Exceptional data analysis capabilities, proficient in processing and analyzing massive market data. Analytical, detailed-oriented, and able to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to communicate deeply with technology/engineering teams; capable of translating risk control business logic into detailed technical specifications (e.g., PRDs) for system implementation, maintaining high familiarity with technical lifecycles.
Fluent in both spoken and written English, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
