Job summary

China Everbright Securities International Company Limited in Hong Kong is hiring an experienced Insurance Sales Leader to drive general insurance and financial & professional liability opportunities. You will lead cross-selling initiatives and provide risk management solutions to clients, with support for Macau teams.

You will oversee a 3–4 person team, ensuring renewal procedures are completed timely, maintaining insurer relationships, and delivering cost-effective programs that meet client

Qualifications

• ACII/ANZIIF/FLMI or equivalent insurance qualifications
• Active IIQE license (Paper 1, 2 and 3)
• Minimum 5–7 years in insurance, GI and financial & professional liability
• Proven track record in team leadership and people management
• Proficiency in MS Office; English and Chinese; Putonghua advantageous

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue up-selling and cross-selling opportunities to penetrate business
• Develop new opportunities and support Macau teams in planning and development
• Lead a small team (3–4) to retain GI and financial & professional liability business and solicit new business
• Provide professional advice and risk management solutions to clients
• Maintain good insurer relationships, design cost-effective programs, and ensure timely renewals
• Monitor team progress and provide training and technical guidance

Job description

Explore up-selling/cross-selling opportunities to facilitate with good business penetration

Develop new business opportunities and participate actively in business planning and development, including support to Macau teams

Leading a small team of 3 to 4 members to retain all existing General Insurance (GI) and financial & specialty business, and solicit new business with in-house sales leads

Provide professional advice and risk management solutions to clients

Establish and maintain good relationship with insurers, design and negotiate cost-effective insurance programs to cater for our clients’ needs

Manage necessary renewal procedures and documentation timely and effectively

Monitor the work progress of the Sales Person and supervise supporting staff with technical guidance and training

Requirements

Degree holder with ACII/ ANZIIF/ FLMI or good progression in insurance professional qualifications

Active IIQE license holder for Paper 1, 2 and 3

Minimum5 to 7 years of solid experience in insurance industry, preferably in General Insurance (GI) and financial and professional liability lines

Proven track record in team leadership and people management with assigned business goal

Self-initiated and willing to accept challenges to lead the team with strong accountability

Proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese Word Processing

Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua an advantage
