Job summary

Castco Testing Centre Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a Technical Assistant to perform material sampling and testing on site under daily instructions, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer specs.

The ideal candidate has a high certificate or above in civil/structural/building or materials, with fresh graduates welcomed. Familiarity with MS Office and AutoCAD, and bilingual English/Chinese reading and writing, will help succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High Certificate or above in civil, structural, building or materials subjects.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Read/write in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Perform material sampling and testing on site according to Company policy and customer specifications.
• Record the number of samples taken and site testing done daily.
• Ensure all testing equipment are calibrated and in good order.
• Report malfunctioning equipment and any test procedure discrepancies.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and enforce site safety.
• Review international standards and develop testing procedures accordingly.

Job description

Perform material sampling and testing on site per Company’s daily instruction and ensure all tests carried out are according to Company’s policy, procedural manuals, and customer’s specification;

Record the number of samples taken and site testing done daily;

Ensure all testing equipment are of valid calibration and in good order;

Report for any malfunctioning equipment;

Report for mistakes or discrepancies with test procedures manual;

Maintain effective communication with customers; and

Enforce safety on sites and ensure compliance with Company’s requirement;

Review international standards and develop testing procedures accordingly;

Requirements:

High Certificate or above in civil, structural, building or materials subjects (Degree in Materials Science or Engineering can join HKIE-Scheme A Training)

Fresh graduates are also welcome

Familiar with MS Office and AutoCAD

Able to read and write in English and Chinese

Able to work independently and under pressure

With driving experience will be priority
