Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer / Assistant Purchasing Manager for a station in Indonesia. The role focuses on procurement of E&M equipment and materials, contract administration for supply agreements, and building a strong supplier base.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in E&M procurement, strong Chinese and English communication skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Building services).
• 8+ years in E&M procurement or project management with main/EM contractors.
• Fluent in Chinese and English.
• Strong leadership, integrity; detail minded and efficient.
• Experience with ERP or digital procurement systems is a plus.
• Overseas procurement experience preferred.

• Oversee pre- and post-contract administration for supply agreements.
• Effectively evaluating vendor proposals to ensure optimal value.

Job description

Proficient in E&M equipment and material selection, effectively evaluating vendor proposals to ensure optimal value for money.

Oversee pre & post-contract administration for supply agreements, ensuring the effective resolution of contractual disputes.

Manage suppliers and expand supplier resources.

Requirements

Degree or above in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Building services).

Minimum 8 years’ experience in E&M materials and equipment procurement or project management, with relevant experience in main contractors / E&M contractors; familiar with supply chain management and E&M materials management.

Strong command of both written and spoken Chinese and English.

Good leadership skills and professional integrity; detail minded and highly efficient.

Proficient in mainstream office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP or digital procurement systems is an advantage.

Experience in Mainland China/overseas procurement is preferred.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior position.
