Job summary

BOC Group Life Assurance Company Limited is seeking a Product Development Lead to drive the creation and rollout of market-leading insurance products. You will work in a cross-functional team to ideate, research, and implement new offerings while optimizing value propositions and distribution channels.

The role requires strong business acumen, bilingual communication in English and Chinese, and hands-on experience in insurance product development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience in the insurance industry, preferably in product development, product marketing, channel development or actuarial.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Strong business acumen, customer-centric mindset and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex issues with various stakeholders and execute plans quickly.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product creation and development cycle from ideation to implementation.
• Manage end-to-end rollout of new insurance products and optimize value propositions and channels.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal counter parties and external partners.
• Ensure product development activities adhere to risk controls and approvals.
• Construct product collaterals for internal and regulatory approvals.
• Continuously analyze market intelligence to understand trends in products and customer journeys.
• Lead a small team and nurture junior staff.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive the product creation and development cycle, from ideation and research, to implementation
• Manage the end-to-end rollout of new insurance products, including optimizing the value proposition, distribution channels, and the overall product development process
• Build collaborative relationships with internal counter parties or external business partners
• Ensure all product development activities are conducted with high integrity and adhere to established risk control guidelines, procedures, and measures to mitigate potential risks
• Construct product collaterals for necessary internal and regulatory approvals
• Continuously analyze market intelligence to understand market trends in products, services and customer journeys
• Lead a small team and nurture junior staff

Job Requirements:

• University degree in a relevant discipline, such as actuarial science, finance, or business administration are preferred
• At least 4 years hands on experience in the insurance industry, preferably in the areas of product development, product marketing, channel development or actuarial
• Proficient in spoken & written English & Chinese
• Strong business acumen, customer-centric mindset, and excellent analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions with various stakeholder
• Agile and have strong execution capability
