We are seeking a technically proficient Assistant Manager, Digital Solution to modernise our legacy office systems and bridge the gap between traditional operations and modern artificial intelligence. You will design, build, and deploy AI-driven automation solutions that eliminate manual workflows, reduce operational friction, and optimise business processes, taking ownership of digital initiatives from user requirement gathering through to solution delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Audit existing manual office workflows and identify inefficiencies within legacy business systems.
- Map end-to-end "as-is" and "to-be" processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Quantify and report on potential time and cost savings resulting from transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate on system architecture design and assist in implementing solutions that balance technical capabilities with business objectives.
- Manage external parties to develop and deliver new digital applications.
- Ensure all data architecture complies with internal security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and user guides.
- Coordinate and support business process automation projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing manual effort, and streamlining enterprise workflows.
- Take ownership of digital initiatives within your scope. Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document user requirements, translating them into actionable technical tasks.
- Oversee the daily operations and production support of core ERP systems to ensure stability, availability, and performance. Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement to reduce recurring incidents.
- Serve as a key liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors. Help monitor vendor performance against SLAs, participate in review meetings, and ensure effective ongoing support.
- Coordinate system enhancements, changes, and releases. Ensure that updates are tested, documented, and communicated to relevant parties to minimise business disruption.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in application systems, software development and IT project coordination. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience working with business systems, particularly in IBM AIX development or similar legacy environments.
- Familiarity with digital solutions such as Power Automate to streamline workflows.
- Hands on experience in developing real-time dashboards for business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
- Familiar with digital technology architecture such as Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Big Data, AI / Machine Learning, Low Code Development, etc.
- Solid work experience in at least one of the following disciplines:
- Backend technologies (e.g., Python, PostgreSQL or Node.js)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting business automation process projects and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills; proficient in English, Chinese and Mandarin.
