Job summary

China State Construction Engineering ( Hong Kong) Limited seeks a Commercial Procurement Manager to draft and review commercial terms for department operations, ensuring compliance with Hong Kong laws and construction standards.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Law, Surveying, Engineering or related field, at least 5 years’ construction contract management experience, and familiarity with HKIA/HKIS/NEC4. Proficiency in Chinese and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with construction contract management.
• Familiarity with HKIA/HKIS/NEC4 or other standard forms of contract in Hong Kong.
• Practical knowledge of bonds/guarantees, insurance and dispute resolution.
• Understanding of Hong Kong construction-related legislation including SoP Ordinance, Arbitration Ordinance & Competition Ordinance.
• Strong command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
• HKIS, RICS or other relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage.

Job description

Drafting and reviewing commercial terms pertaining to the department’s business operations, ensuring that such terms are in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and construction industry standards.

Managing commercial risks and resolving contractual disputes arising from departmental operations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in construction contract management.

Familiarity with mainstream construction standard forms of contract in Hong Kong, such as HKIA/HKIS Standard Forms, NEC4, etc.

Practical knowledge of bonds/guarantees, insurance and dispute resolution.

Understanding of Hong Kong construction-related legislation, including the SoP Ordinance, the Arbitration Ordinance & Competition Ordinance.

Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.

Strong analytical skills, negotiation skills and cross-departmental communication skills.

HKIS, RICS or other relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage.
