Job summary

CMHK is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to drive strategic planning and architectural development of cloud platforms in a digitally transforming telecom environment.

You will collaborate with transport networks, IT systems, and product planning, shaping cloud-network architectures and evaluating technology stacks to meet capacity and resilience goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in cloud infrastructure planning or system architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and middleware.
• Strong documentation and architectural design skills.
• HCIP-level or equivalent certifications in cloud or AI are preferred.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic planning and architectural development of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with transport networks, IT systems and product planning to design cloud-network architectures.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create high-level architectural plans and forecasts for resource capacity.
• Establish technical objectives and evaluation criteria for PoC initiatives related to cloud platform enhancements; support implementation and technical validation.
• Assess the feasibility of technology stacks, including operating systems, databases, and AI frameworks, and develop strategies for their adoption in cloud environments.
• Evaluate and recommend optimal resource orchestration models, scheduling methods, and disaster recovery strategies to meet evolving infrastructure needs.
• Produce detailed planning documents, architectural blueprints, and internal reports to aid decision-making and enhance cross-team collaboration.

Department: Computility & Platform Planning

In this position, you will:

• Contribute to the strategic planning and architectural development of cloud infrastructure and AI computing platforms to align with long-term digital transformation goals
• Collaborate with teams across transport networks, IT systems, and product planning to design cohesive cloud-network architectures
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create high-level architectural plans and forecasts for resource capacity
• Establish technical objectives and evaluation criteria for proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives related to cloud platform enhancements; support implementation and technical validation
• Assess the feasibility of technology stacks, including operating systems, databases, and AI frameworks, and develop strategies for their adoption in cloud environments
• Evaluate and recommend optimal resource orchestration models, scheduling methods, and disaster recovery strategies to meet evolving infrastructure needs
• Produce detailed planning documents, architectural blueprints, and internal reports to aid decision‑making and enhance cross‑team collaboration

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure planning, digital transformation for telecom operators, or system architecture design
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, server virtualization and cloud platform components such as OpenStack, Kubernetes and middleware
• Strong skills in system documentation and architectural design, with the ability to deliver structured planning outcomes across technical domains
• Huawei HCIP-level or equivalent certifications in cloud or AI technologies are preferred
• Proficient in English and Mandarin, with excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
