Job summary

Regal Hongkong Hotel is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel engineering team, ensuring safe, comfortable and reliable facilities for guests and staff. The role requires a strong background in building services and several years of leadership in engineering within hotel or facility management environments.

The candidate will oversee daily operations, supervise maintenance works, manage plant systems, and coordinate with contractors to keep hotel facilities at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher diploma in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical related disciplines.
• 6 years' experience in Hotel, Facility Management or Property Management field.
• Independent and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operation and guest appeal of the hotel.
• Directs the maintenance team on repair and maintenance work (FCU repair and replacement, ventilation system normalization, drywall patching, wiring fixes, drains).
• Maintains optimal function of physical plant including chiller, refrigeration, HVAC, F&B equipment, security, plumbing, water treatment, electricity and boiler systems.
• Proposes orders on purchasing new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
• Evaluates submissions by external parties and work by contractors.
• Monitors maintenance and works contractors' performance and workmanship.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operation and guest appeal of the hotel

Job Requirements

• Degree or higher diploma in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical related disciplines
• 6 years' experience in Hotel, Facility Management or Property Management field
• Independent and able to work under pressure
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficiency in PC knowledge including MS Office applications & Chinese word-processing
