Job summary

Anglo-Eastern, a global leader in independent ship management, is seeking an accounting professional in Hong Kong with 3–5 years of experience. You will manage full-set accounting, intercompany activity, and month-end closing while delivering accurate management reporting.

The role involves collaboration across departments and leveraging AI-enabled tools to streamline processes. You will assist in financial statement preparation and liaise with external auditors during year-end reviews,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Good understanding of AP/AR processes is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with AI & automation tools to improve efficiency.

• Handle full-set accounting operations, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

Job description

• Handle full-set accounting operations, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Contribute to month-end closing activities, including preparation of management reports, accounting vouchers, documentation, and reporting packages for holding companies
• Provide support on daily accounting operations and coordinate with colleagues across departments on finance-related enquiries
• Assist in leveraging finance systems, automation tools, and AI-enabled solutions to streamline routine accounting processes and enhance data accuracy.
• Provide ad hoc accounting and administrative support to the finance team as required
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and statutory accounts
• Support senior staff in liaising with external auditors during year-end reviews and statutory audits to ensure compliance and smooth reporting processes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations, good understanding of AP/AR processes is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power Query, Power Automate, or other productivity and automation tools is an advantage.
• Demonstrates an interest in leveraging AI and automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Query, Power Automate, or ERP systems) to improve efficiency, enhance reporting quality, and streamline finance processes.
• Responsible, self-motivated, able to work independently and a strong team player
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
