Job summary

Pan Asia Pacific Aviation Services Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Finance team. The role reports to the Accountant or Finance Manager and involves handling payable/receivable functions, month-end close, and collaboration with departments to ensure timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting/finance degree, with 3+ years of experience, and is proficient in Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• Preference for student members of HKICPA/ACCA/CPAA.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting/finance/audit experience.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Accountant or Finance Manager with accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, invoicing, staff reimbursements and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing and internal controls.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely month-end close.
• Assist in budgeting/forecasting and financial reporting.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulators for audits and compliance.
• Handle insurance renewals and system enhancements; perform ad-hoc tasks.

Education

Degree holder in Accounting or Finance or related disciplines

Student member of HKICPA / ACCA / CPAA preferred

• Assistant Accountant, directly reporting to the Accountant or Finance Manager (FM), is responsible for
• Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including payment to vendors, invoice booking, staff reimbursement, bank reconciliation with the preparation of accounting schedules, etc.
• Preparing month-end and year-end closing & internal control
• Coordinating with various departments to make sure timely month-end closing
• Assisting in preparation of budget and forecast
• Handling financial reports, management reports, schedules, reconciliation and performing financial analysis
• Liaising with banks, external auditors and regulators for annual auditing, tax filing and other compliance requirements
• Handling insurance renewal and reporting
• Handling implementation of Procurement System and Flex system enhancement
• Performing ad-hoc assignments as assigned
