Job summary

Bank of China Hong Kong Branch seeks an Operations Manager/Assistant Manager in Asset Management to oversee daily fund operations, trade settlement, and risk monitoring. You will coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, and vendors to ensure accurate NAVs and timely processing.

The role requires a strong grasp of HK asset management regulations, fluency in English and Chinese, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, finance, accounting, law, computer science, or related disciplines.
4+ years in assets management operations for Manager or 2+ years for Assistant Manager.
Familiar with regulatory and compliance matters relating to Type1 and 9 licenses in Hong Kong.
Fluent in English and Chinese; Mandarin proficiency preferred.
Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, IOC, or ECF.

Responsibilities

Support daily operations functions including subscription, redemption, dividend distribution, trade settlement, fees payment, reconciliation and NAV calculation.
Work closely with fund administrator, custodian, vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Provide direction and solutions for operation issues to ensure smooth daily operation.
Quantify and monitor key portfolio risk metrics including market, concentration and liquidity risks.
Establish and maintain pre-trade and post-trade investment restriction monitoring within the trading system.
Ensure adherence to client investment mandates, IMAs, and internal risk policies.
Investigate and report any guideline breaches, coordinating with portfolio managers for rectification.
Undertake other assigned duties.
