Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Branch is seeking an Operations Manager/Assistant Manager in Asset Management to oversee daily operations, NAV calculation, trade settlement, and reconciliation. You will collaborate with fund administrators, custodians, and vendors to ensure smooth processes while monitoring portfolio risk metrics and compliance with investment mandates.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years in asset management operations, with strong English and Chinese

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, finance, accounting, law, computer science, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 4 years (Manager) or 2 years (Assistant Manager) of relevant experience in assets management operations.
• Familiar with regulatory and compliance matters relating to Type1 and 9 licenses in Hong Kong.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese; Mandarin is preferred.
• Preferred certifications such as CFA, FRM, IOC, ECF.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations functions including subscription, redemption, dividend distribution, trade settlement, fees payment, reconciliation and NAV calculation.
• Work closely with service providers including fund administrator, custodian, vendors etc. to ensure smooth operations.
• Providing direction and solution for operation issues, ensuring the smoothness of daily operation.
• Quantify and monitor key portfolio risk metrics, including market, concentration and liquidity risks.
• Establish and maintain the pre-trade and post-trade investment restriction monitoring framework within the trading system.
• Ensure strict adherence to individual client investment mandates, IMAs, and internal risk policies.
• Investigate, log, and report any passive or active guideline breaches, coordinating with portfolio managers for timely rectification.
