Job summary

Pure Search is seeking an experienced General Counsel to lead the legal function for a market-leading multinational with operations across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Southeast Asia and beyond. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will shape strategy, governance and risk management while developing a high-performing regional legal team.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' PQE as a lawyer
• Currently operating as a General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel
• Experience leading legal teams within a multinational organisation
• Strong governance, commercial contracting, compliance and risk management
• Ability to advise executive leadership and board-level stakeholders
• Experience across Hong Kong, Mainland China and broader Asia

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal function across the group
• Act as trusted adviser to the Executive Leadership Team and senior management
• Support strategic business initiatives, joint ventures, regional expansion, M&A and corporate transactions
• Oversee commercial agreements, strategic partnerships and key customer relationships
• Manage litigation, disputes, investigations and regulatory matters
• Drive best-practice corporate governance, compliance and risk management
• Build and develop a high-performing legal team across Asia
• Partner with stakeholders to provide practical, commercially focused legal solutions
